He apologized to the Marseille captain in a very cordial scene, filmed with a camera and microphone by Ligue1+. Weah believed he had to go to the dressing room at the 32nd minute. He was ultimately sent off in the second half, at the 77th minute, for grabbing Nuno Mendes. "I agree," Weah said, "Sorry for the scare!" to the OM defender who acknowledged the mistake. The Marseille captain was later sent off for a second yellow card.
