The Carthage Eagles open the CAN-2027 with a message of renewal against the Uganda

The players of the Tunisian national team have expressed their determination to begin a new era, during the match against the Uganda, scheduled for Thursday at Radès (20h00), for the first day of qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN-2027). In a statement before the training session on Monday night at the Radès annex stadium, Issa Laïdouni acknowledged that Tunisia's participation in the 2026 World Cup had been disappointing and had caused great disappointment among the public. Montassar Talbi emphasized that the effects of that World Cup are still felt among the players, calling for a new chapter and a focus on African qualifiers. The coach stated that the Carthage Eagles are determined to start the CAN-2027 qualifiers strongly. The Monday session saw the initial participation of 20 players. Elias Achouri and Sebastian Tounekti are expected on Tuesday at the selection's residence to join their teammates in preparation for the match against the Uganda (Thursday) and the match against the Botswana, scheduled for next Monday at 20h00 at Radès (Group H).
