Tebas denounces Real Madrid for "conspiracy" around refereeing

The president of the Spanish football league, Javier Tebas, has denounced Tuesday the accusations of "permanent conspiracy" launched by Real Madrid around refereeing in La Liga. He believes that the Madrid club is using this issue to "mask" its difficulties after its 2-1 defeat against Atlético last Sunday. This statement follows a response to a pro-Real press article published on the social media platform X, published after José Mourinho's press conference. Real Madrid, for several years, has accused Spanish refereeing of favoring Barcelona. The club stated that refereeing is damaging the image of La Liga and Spanish football, calling for the appointment of a neutral leader. In May, Florentino Pérez had declared that referees had "stolen seven league titles" and "18 points" last season.
