Mourinho keeps individual training going at Valdebebas despite 15 international absences

Mourinho is currently without 15 players who have joined their respective national teams. Activity is nevertheless continuing at Valdebebas: the coach has not given the players who stayed in Madrid the week off, although they do not all report every day. They attend for individual work according to their respective programmes.

Valverde, Rodrygo, Militao and Mendy, all injured, are present every day. The four players go daily to Ciudad Real Madrid to work on recovering from their injuries with doctors, recovery staff and physiotherapists.

Courtois, Lunin, Rüdiger, Tchouaméni, Asencio, Thiago and Carreras, the other players who remained in Madrid, report to Ciudad Real Madrid at specific times for their individual sessions.

Thiago is still waiting to learn whether he will have to join the national team. Spain were due to face Mexico on 30 September in Ceuta, but the match was suspended because security could not be guaranteed; the Real Madrid player is waiting to find out whether it will ultimately be played.

Thiago is nevertheless set to play again for Castilla in Primera Federación in order to build up minutes.
