Real Madrid expects UEFA to sanction Barça
Mundo Deportivoabout 2 hours ago4 views
Real Madrid is convinced that UEFA will ultimately sanction Barça in the Negreira case. The Madrid club considers UEFA’s confirmation that it received the dossier to be more than a simple addition to the file already opened in 2023. According to the account, that file is not expected to be closed before a judgment is delivered in the judicial proceedings opened in Spain.
The club believes UEFA now has information it did not previously possess. It also considers the report of more than 50,000 pages, submitted on June 17, crucial to enabling the European governing body to take action against Barça.
In its assessment of the matter, Real Madrid considers Barça’s payments to the vice-president of the refereeing body over 15 years to constitute a serious breach of UEFA’s ethics code. The Madrid club wants disciplinary punishment for Barça, while the judicial proceedings in Spain continue.
