Barcelona are keeping an eye on Dodô, a Brazilian right-back who could be available without a transfer fee. Gazzetta dello Sport identified the 27-year-old international as a low-cost option for several major clubs, including the Catalan side. Reports from Italy say the player is in the final season of his contract, which could allow him to leave for free.
Barcelona are also monitoring the market to assess the options available and act in future transfer windows if needed, although no recruitment decision has been announced. Juventus and Milan are also reportedly watching Dodô ahead of the summer of 2027. The wide defender is 1.66 metres tall and has an attack-minded profile.
The potential move would address a position where Barcelona lack options, particularly on the right. Eric Garcia currently plays there most often, after Jules Koundé had also been used in the role until recently; both are centre-backs redeployed on the flank.
On the left, Alejandro Balde, the squad’s natural specialist in the position, has for some time been Hansi Flick’s third or even fourth choice. The coach sometimes prefers to move Gerard Martín, now a centre-back, back to his natural position. Tracking Dodô would therefore fit the search for options in the wide defensive positions, but nothing in these reports indicates an agreement or a completed move.
