Hay urges Granada to keep working to get back to winning

“We are making progress and we have to find a way to win. We need to be ready to fight and keep working, knowing that the fans protect us and that we are on the path to victory,” Granada coach Hay said.

José Rojo “Pacheta” believes his team has developed over the past month, despite a recent run that ended with a draw and three defeats. He hopes Granada can end its poor run on Sunday away to Real Sociedad B. He acknowledged that the team had gone four matches without a win and felt that, apart from the defeat at Eibar, the results had been unfair. In his view, Granada concede too many goals despite allowing few chances and should have collected more points.

The coach said he was not worried about the situation. He believes the team must keep improving and working, and plans to try different options to improve its results. On Real Sociedad B, he praised a side with a clear style of play, coached by the young Jon Ansotegi, who, he said, does things differently and has good players comfortable on the ball. “We have to go there, show our strengths and play our game as we try to win,” he said, adding that several of the opposition’s players could go on to play in the top division.

Pacheta did not rule out changes to his starting line-up at Zubieta as he looks for a response. He said that when wins are not coming, alternatives have to be considered, and that every available player was capable of starting.
