A mixed international outing for Atlético’s players
SportNestra Editorial Teamabout 3 hours ago4 views
It was a mixed international outing for Atlético’s players: they featured in Spain’s win over the Czech Republic in Oviedo, while no physical problems were reported at the end of the match, in principle. Robin Le Normand and Álex Baena were both in the starting line-up.
Spain won 3-1 at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium, another victory that strengthens its dominance in Group A3 of the Nations League. The match swung Spain’s way early on: Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the fifth minute, before captain Rodri Hernández extended the lead ahead of half-time after a good team move.
For Atlético de Madrid, having two players in the starting side was one of the notable features of the day. Álex Baena played 45 minutes. The physical assessment for the club’s players also appears favourable, although that remains subject to any contrary news. Spain’s victory and Baena’s time on the pitch offer a tangible picture of Atlético players’ involvement in the international match.
