Real Zaragoza return to the top with a fifth straight win
SportNestra Editorial Teamabout 2 hours ago2 views
Real Zaragoza are back in first place, 1121 days after putting together a run of five consecutive victories. Yesterday, the club took the lead in Primera RFEF with a 4-1 win over Club Deportivo Teruel.
The previous run of five wins dated back to 10 September 2023, in Cartagena, in Segunda A. The return to the top therefore came with a convincing victory, restoring Real Zaragoza’s position as league leaders.
The match also prompted a comment from Ibai Gómez at a press conference: « Winning is hard. » His words underscored the challenge, as Real Zaragoza gained control and Teruel’s resistance eventually gave way.
Jardí, meanwhile, was directly involved in 10 of the 12 goals scored by his team. The win over Club Deportivo Teruel puts Zaragoza at the top of Primera RFEF, after a long wait since its previous run of five victories.
