Espérance Sportive de Tunis have announced injuries to Sahraoui and Ben Ali. The club said central defender Marouane Sahraoui sustained a cruciate ligament injury during a friendly against Union. He is due to undergo surgery in the coming days, Espérance announced on Tuesday.
Right-back Mohamed Ben Ali, meanwhile, suffered a muscle injury during a team training session. The club said further examinations would monitor his condition and help determine when he can return to training.
The injuries come ahead of several fixtures for Espérance. The club are scheduled to host Olympique de Béja on 10 October 2026 in the fifth round of Ligue professionnelle 1. They will then face Al-Swehly on 16 and 24 October in the first and second legs of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
