Sancet and Nico’s injuries complicate Terzic’s plans

Sancet and Nico’s injuries have complicated Terzic’s plans: Athletic will arrive in Vallecas on Saturday without two of its key players. Nico Williams was already unavailable, and Sancet has now joined him with a moderate injury to the soleus in his left leg.
Sancet missed the training session on the eve of the match. He was injured in training this week, while Nico picked up his injury in his most recent game with the national team on 29 September.
Sancet’s absence is a significant setback for Terzic’s choices. The attacking midfielder had started every match and, among the outfield players, was the one the German coach had used most.
The club has set no estimated return date for either player. Sancet is also expected to miss the matches against Rayo and Valencia.
