Led by Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr have several of their leading players back ahead of Friday’s meeting with Diriyah in the eighth round of the Roshn Saudi League. The Riyadh derby will be played at Al-Awwal Park in the Saudi capital. Diriyah are identified as the champions of Gulf Cup 27.
Saudi journalist Abdulaziz Al-Osaimi said Al-Nassr coach Ange Postecoglou had placed Cristiano Ronaldo, João Félix and Kingsley Coman at the top of the player list for the match. French defender Mohamed Simakan is also ready to play after recovering from a muscle strain suffered this week.
Al-Nassr sit third in the Saudi league on 16 points, earned through five wins, one draw and one defeat. They are two points behind leaders Al-Hilal and one behind second-placed Al-Ittihad.
Abdulilah Al-Amri will not be available, however. The defender is suffering from fatigue after playing for the Saudi national team at Gulf Cup 27, which the “Greens” won.
