The 2027 WRC calendar will feature three new additions, while Rally Islas Canarias retains its place as the championship’s Spanish event. It has been on the calendar since joining in 2025, after many years in which the top category featured the Cataluña event. The rally, held on Gran Canaria, is scheduled for May 6-9.

The stages, the crowds and the spectacle have helped establish the event on the championship calendar. Three new destinations are due to join, while Portugal will no longer be included.

The season will begin in Montecarlo from January 21-24 and is due to finish in Arabia Saudí from November 25-28, if nothing unusual happens. The other two additions are expected in the latter part of the campaign: the Estados Unidos will host an event from August 26-29, while a rally will return to the Islas Británicas.

The calendar will feature 15 rallies, the highest total since 2008. The 2027 regulations will also come into effect. Familiar fixtures will remain, including the snow of Suecia, the demanding Acrópolis de Grecia and the high-speed roads of Finlandia. The Canary Islands event is therefore part of an expanded calendar, with three new destinations accompanying the regulatory change.
