Bachir Belloumi’s market value recorded a record increase after the latest international break. The Algerian attacking midfielder was the biggest beneficiary of the rise, following his return to the national team and his first appearance since November 2023.

His performances for Hull City explain the increase. Belloumi played five Premier League matches and one League Cup match, scored twice and provided two assists. He also converted a decisive penalty in a shootout.

At the start of the 2026-2027 season, he had established himself among the players attracting attention, both with Hull City in the Premier League and alongside new national coach Ibrahim Hamdani. He helped Algeria to a win and a draw in the first two rounds of qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, then continued that form in a friendly against Niger. He is the son of Lakhdar Belloumi, a legend of Algerian football.

The rise has come alongside growing interest from major English clubs. The British press has compared the young player with Riyad Mahrez early in his career, pointing to his ability to make a difference through individual moves and accurate shooting. According to the latest updates, Belloumi ranks fourth among Hull City players by market value, sixth among players in the Algerian squad and 292nd among Premier League players.
