Zamalek face Congolese Kinshasa on Saturday in the African Handball Championship. The match is scheduled for 18:00, with the competition being played in Luanda from October 5 to 14.
The new draw reshaped the groups. Zamalek’s group now includes the Congolese clubs GSK, Angola’s Primeiro, and the Ethiopian clubs Mekelle and Michel. In this setting, the Egyptian club is looking to continue its continental campaign and beat its Congolese opponent to strengthen its chances in the title race.
The fixture follows Zamalek’s recent campaign at the Club World Championship, where its handball team finished fourth. It lost to Al Ahly in the bronze-medal match, in a competition held in the New Capital.
The meeting with Kinshasa is therefore another step for Zamalek in the continental tournament, with its campaign and the new makeup of its group both at stake.
