After Saturday’s meeting with Manchester United, Roberto De Zerbi will take his players to Marbella, the BBC reports. The trip is intended to help the coach turn things around and strengthen the unity of a squad that has had little time to get to know one another with the 2026 World Cup. It will be the first camp of this kind that the coach has organised for Tottenham.
The urgency is clear for the club, bottom of the Premier League with just two points from five matches and still without a win this season. De Zerbi will have tried everything to revive his team, with nine days’ rest between the match in Manchester and the next league round.
That time will be used for a stay in Marbella, in southern Spain, ahead of the home meeting with Conventry. The camp is also intended to build genuine team cohesion, with ten players having joined Tottenham’s squad during the summer transfer window. De Zerbi, meanwhile, is no stranger to training camps: he has organised this kind of stay before.
