Chelsea have announced that Cole Palmer has extended his contract until 2034. The club will retain one of its most prominent attacking players, who said he was happy to continue and confident in the direction the team is taking.
Palmer said the prospect of winning major trophies was behind his decision. “Chelsea means a lot to me, and I think the club is going in the right direction; so I’m very happy to sign the new contract and, of course, I feel great joy,” he said.
Since joining Chelsea in August 2023, Palmer has established himself among the world’s leading attacking players. In 2024, he became only the second English player to score in a European Championship final, finding the net against Spain. In his first season with Chelsea, he also produced one of the club’s most impressive and memorable debut campaigns. Chelsea supporters voted him their player of the season, an award also chosen by his teammates.
Palmer has made a strong start to the current season, scoring four goals and providing two assists in the team’s first seven matches. In his second season, he had already made a decisive impact, supplying three assists against Wolverhampton before scoring four first-half goals against Brighton & Hove Albion, a landmark feat in Premier League history.
