France and Japan won the gold medals in the mixed-team events at the Shooting World Cup in Egypt. France’s victory came in the 10-metre air pistol final, where Camille Jedrzejewski and Téo Mosco finished first to secure the title for their country.
Japan prevailed in the senior mixed-team 10-metre air rifle final. Misaki Nobata and Naoki Hanakawa took top spot, adding another gold medal to Japan’s tally at the competition.
The championship runs from 8 to 20 October. It is part of the International Shooting Federation calendar and features elite competitors from around the world in the pistol and rifle events.
Egypt’s hosting of the competition is part of an effort to stage major international sporting events and strengthen the country’s standing on the global shooting map, welcoming champions and representatives of national federations.
