Even Marc Márquez was left dizzy after this MotoGP race. He described the 2026 world championship as one where “anything can happen”, with emotions likened to a roller coaster. The champion won a turbulent Sprint, while the Aprilias endured a series of difficulties.

The first chaotic moment came at a start where Di Giannantonio and other riders got away strongly. Four bikes became caught in an accordion effect, and Bezzecchi and Raúl Fernández crashed. In the explanation given, the riders were watching those ahead as they tried to brake later; four ended up off the racing line, while Martín moved from fifth to first.

Di Giannantonio said contact with Marc had put his bike into first gear and cost him ground. He also said Bezzecchi and Raúl had been unlucky.

Later, when Martinator appeared poised to win, the Aprilia rider encountered tyre-pressure problems. He let Marc pass in an effort to warm the tyres, with the asphalt temperature at 61 degrees. Jorge acknowledged an error, saying that sometimes the team was responsible and sometimes he was. He also admitted that he had tried to pass Marc and ran wide.

Speaking about the team’s objective, the rider said he had expected to lose points to Martín. He added that the aim remained to limit those losses, while saying he was very pleased with the day’s result and noting that the next race would be different.

Márquez said he had asked for water after the race. He felt dizzy after leaving the podium, a first for him, but later recovered. He described the effort as intense and wearing a racing suit on the podium in that heat as difficult. The rider also mentioned the mandatory ten minutes on the “Hero walk”, which can run longer, and said he had to look after himself as he would a motorcycle.

The championship remains open to further twists: a return by Martín to the lead is raised as a possibility, but the outcome is uncertain. For the long race, an Aprilia win and difficulties for the factory Ducati rider are described as likely, as is an escape by Bez and Raúl.
