Jamal Musiala, 23, is continuing his recovery after another thigh injury. Bayern hopes he can soon resume his progress towards his best level, but a return is not expected in the near term: the club will have to be patient while the player continues his rehabilitation.
Bayern remains convinced that Musiala can rediscover his best form and become one of Europe’s most promising attacking talents. Questions about his health and his ability to play at the highest level have nevertheless caused concern among the club’s supporters.
Herbert Hainer sought to reassure them. “We know Jamal’s condition. The specialists have confirmed to us that he can play football at the highest level despite this illness,” said the Bayern Munich president. Hainer also noted that, before the international break, Musiala seemed close to returning to his best level: “We are not worried.”
