Back from injury, Geoffrey Kondogbia was confronted by a supporter before Sunday’s match between Troyes and OM, which Marseille won 0-2. The game in Troyes closed the sixth round of Ligue 1 and gave OM their first victory since their home win over Strasbourg on 21 August.
The exchange took place before kick-off in the Aube. “I didn’t insult you, I told you that you’re not good. You’re not good, that’s all,” the supporter said. Kondogbia replied: “Respect people.” The Marseille midfielder then returned to his warm-up.
On the pitch, OM secured the win through a 50th-minute goal from Amine Harit and a penalty converted by Himad Abdelli in the 90th+8 minute. The result ended the wait for another victory since the Strasbourg game. The confrontation involving Kondogbia took place beforehand and did not stop him from resuming his warm-up.
