The squad of players born in 2010 is heading to Morocco to compete in the handball World Championship. The women’s under-16 delegation is due to leave this evening for the inaugural edition of the tournament, which Morocco is hosting from October 16 to 24.
On the eve of the departure, the Federation’s board, chaired by Khaled Fathy, met with the players. Moamen Safa, director of the national teams, was also present. The meeting was intended to encourage the squad and lift its spirits. The officials also voiced their confidence in the team’s ability to put together a strong campaign worthy of Egyptian handball.
The Federation hopes that memories of the 2008 selection will inspire this new generation. Its stated ambition is to follow in that team’s footsteps and make a strong impression at the first women’s under-16 World Championship.
