Getafe have wrapped up an agreement with Carvajal, are waiting on Dani Parejo and have another potential signing in reserve. Ángel Torres confirmed that the deal with the former Real Madrid captain was complete, although the paperwork still had to be finalised. Dani Carvajal had already reached an agreement with the club several days earlier; official confirmation remains dependent on the parties signing the documents that have been submitted. The right-back, too, had settled all terms with the club several days ago.

Getafe are continuing to recruit from the pool of unattached players in October to give José Bordalás more options, following an uneven start to the season. To create financial room during this period, Ángel Torres submitted a guarantee to LaLiga.

With Carvajal secured, the club are now pursuing Dani Parejo. The 37-year-old midfielder from Coslada has been without a team since leaving Villarreal at the end of last season, and contact has already been made with Getafe. A familiar figure in LaLiga, he has also played for Real Madrid and Valencia.

Getafe are also continuing to explore the free-agent market. The club are working on another name who could give Bordalás more options as the team competes in three demanding competitions this season.

The plan is to present Carvajal after next Thursday’s Conference League match against Universitatea Craiova.
