Bachir Belloumi was named player of the match after helping Hull City to a 2-2 draw with Everton on Sunday in the sixth round. Hull were trailing 2-1 when the Algerian winger came on in the 64th minute; he levelled the score ten minutes later to earn his side a point.

The display continued Belloumi’s return to form as the Premier League resumed after the international break. During that pause, he featured for the Fennecs at the start of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. He scored twice in three international appearances: against Burundi in a 2-2 draw, and with a direct free kick against Niger on October 6.

Belloumi had also made an impressive start to the 2026-2027 season with Hull City. Across the first five Premier League rounds, he scored twice and provided two assists. His equaliser against Everton extends a run of notable performances for both club and country.
