The kick-off of Al-Nassr’s match in Riyadh in the AFC Champions League Elite was postponed after a precautionary alert was issued. The game against Neftchi, scheduled for Monday evening at Al-Awwal Park in the second round of the league phase, was delayed with supporters already at the stadium.

The alert, issued in Riyadh through Saudi Arabia’s national platform, warned of a risk that drones could approach the capital. It caused concern among those at Al-Awwal Park.

Inside the stadium, the announcer asked supporters to stay where they were and reassured them that the match would go ahead despite the delay. Ange Postecoglou, Al-Nassr’s coach, had announced his team’s starting line-up for the game against Neftchi.

The delay changed the schedule for this AFC Champions League Elite fixture, but the message delivered to supporters indicated that the match would still be played.
