The youth team has wrapped up its training ahead of travelling to Qatar for the Gulf Cup. The squad, made up of players born in 2009 and coached by Hussein Abdel Latif, is preparing to depart for Doha. The competition will run from 17 October to 4 November, with 10 teams taking part.

Twenty-two players participated in the session. Amir Hassan, a defender for Nijmegen, is due to join the delegation tomorrow. Hussein Abdel Latif has also opted for Abdel Aziz Khaled, known as “Ivona”, the Al Ahly forward, in place of Amir Abou El Ezz, a Monza player.

Shawky Gharib, the Federation’s technical director, met with the players alongside the technical staff. He urged them to stay focused and give their utmost to reach the final stages, while assuring them of the Federation’s support under president Hani Abou Rida.

Gharib also praised the work of Walid Darwish, a member of the Federation’s board and supervisor of the team. He said Darwish was working to meet the squad’s needs and remove obstacles, with the aim of helping it achieve the best possible results in the tournament.
