Petrojet snatched a 2-2 draw against Wadi Degla in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League. After falling two goals behind, Petrojet used its numerical advantage to fight back and share the points with its opponents.
Wadi Degla had made the stronger start. Mahmoud Diasaty opened the scoring for his side, before Mohamed Banhensi added a second goal ahead of the end of the first half. But Mohamed Abdel Aaty’s dismissal in the 37th minute made Wadi Degla’s task more difficult. The team played the rest of the match with ten men, giving Petrojet an opening to get back into the contest.
Petrojet scored twice after the break. Adam Hamed pulled one back, before a Wadi Degla defender scored an own goal. That comeback brought Petrojet level and secured the 2-2 result. Wadi Degla could not hold on to its two-goal lead, while Petrojet turned its numerical advantage into a comeback.
