After the summit match, Amr Zaki accused Imam Ashour of behavior that could provoke Zamalek supporters. The former player said the victory did not justify conduct that might be seen as an attempt to taunt the club’s fans. He also pointed to Zamalek’s important role in Imam Ashour’s career.

At the end of the match, Zaki said, Imam Ashour had taken Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Achraf Bencharki to take photographs near Zamalek supporters. He questioned what message the Al Ahly player had intended to send. Zaki also criticized Imam Ashour for going toward Zamalek’s substitutes’ bench after Al Ahly scored its second goal. He said the player should have shown restraint and respect for sporting conduct, particularly given his standing in Egyptian football.

In comments broadcast on MBC Masr, Amr Zaki said he had not liked what Imam Ashour did after the match. He urged him to reconsider his behavior and act more responsibly, noting that he is one of the Egypt national team’s players. Zaki concluded by calling on Imam Ashour to focus on the pitch and avoid controversial conduct on social media, saying he should be a role model for supporters and young players.
