A new development has emerged concerning Hamza Abdelkarim ahead of Barcelona’s match against Real Betis, scheduled for Saturday evening in the ninth round of the Spanish league. Journalist Víctor Navarro said the forward trained today with Barcelona’s reserve team in preparation for its match against Atipo tomorrow in the Spanish fourth division. That preparation means he will not take part in the first team’s game against Real Betis.
The prospect comes after Abdelkarim was included in Barcelona’s first-team squads for matches this season. His playing opportunities have nevertheless been limited: he has had only a few minutes against Rayo Vallecano and Getafe, in the third and eighth rounds of the Spanish league.
