Getafe are interested in Jadon Sancho, whose market value reached €130 million on Transfermarkt, according to Marca. That peak valuation dates back to March 2020. The Spanish club is now linked with a player who, a few years ago, was regarded as one of the brightest hopes in English football.

Sancho made his name at Dortmund after leaving City, before moving to Manchester and United. The latter paid €85 million to sign him. Having already stood out in England’s youth teams, he was beginning to make an impact at club level too. His standing was especially high at the time: Marca’s account placed him ahead of Neymar, Kane, Salah, Mané, De Bruyne, Messi and Haaland in the ranking it described.

His time at United later became difficult. Sancho started only about half of the matches across the two campaigns in question. In early September, the coach explained why he had been left out of the match squad: “Jadon was not called up for the match because of his performances in training.” The situation ended with Sancho being separated from the team, before he returned to Dortmund in the January transfer window.

Sancho then revived under Terzic and started the Champions League final against Real Madrid, which he lost 2-0. The following campaign, he joined Chelsea on loan. Under Maresca, he won the Conference League and scored in the final against Betis, which Chelsea won 4-1. He also provided 10 assists—five in the Premier League and five in the Conference League—and scored five goals across the two competitions.

More recently, his season was less productive, yielding one goal and three assists. At its end, his loan spell and contract with Manchester United came to a close. Getafe’s interest now raises the prospect of another opportunity for the winger, whose market valuation once peaked at €130 million.
