“Good news for Real Madrid fans: there is no football for three weeks,” Ryanair wrote. The post triggered considerable anger among the club’s fans, who responded in a variety of ways.
Supporters of rival clubs also joined the mockery by adding further messages. Real Madrid were not the only club targeted by Ryanair: the airline also mocked Atlético through a video showing a figurine being printed alongside the words “0 Champions League”.
