Adama Jeng, the 15-year-old Gambian “Scorpion”, draws interest from Europe’s leading clubs

Nicknamed the “Scorpion”, Adama Jeng is at the centre of competition among several of Europe’s leading clubs. The 15-year-old Gambian midfielder, regarded as one of Africa’s major prospects, has attracted the interest of Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Monaco and Sporting Portugal.

The defensive midfielder was one of the standout players for the “Baby Scorpions” at the WAFU Zone A under-17 tournament. Gambia won the competition after defeating Senegal in a penalty shootout.

Standing 1.88 m tall already, Jeng has been developed at Samger FC. According to reported information, the clubs named have begun the race to sign the player, who will turn 16 in December 2026.
