Manchester United are selling pieces of the Old Trafford pitch for £125 each. The fragments from the stadium surface are being offered as commemorative cubes.
This summer, Old Trafford’s pitch was taken up to its base for the first time in 14 years. Some sections were preserved, then cut into 7x7cm pieces before being placed in glass cubes.
According to the club website, the items are “a priceless memento of iconic games played at home” and keep memories of matchdays alive.
The initiative was announced on the same day that Manchester United said its overall debt remained above £1bn. For the 2025-26 financial year, the club posted record revenue of £677.6m and an operating profit of £22.6m, while recording a pre-tax loss of £43m.
Manchester United also confirmed it had spent £63.5m on buying land for the team’s new stadium. The overall cost of that project is expected to exceed £2bn.
