Iñigo Arguibide has renewed with Osasuna. The full-back has committed to the club for the next four years, and his deal now runs until June 2030.
His rise followed Valentin Rosier’s pre-season injury and the failure to bring in Lizancos from Burgos. The good performances of the player, who is from Huarte, persuaded the club to extend his contract by three more seasons.
His consistency and reliability have strengthened his standing and sparked debate at right-back, a position previously occupied by the much more experienced Rosier. Osasuna could unilaterally extend the contract until 2029, but the two parties agreed to add one further year. It is the first deal by “Cata” as sporting director with a first-team player.
Rosier’s return, described as increasingly close, is expected to leave Luis Miguel Ramis with a decision over who will take the place in the starting lineup.
