Belgium beat Turkey 3-0 to deepen their relegation concerns

Turkey, already under pressure after defeats to France and Italy in the opening two rounds, lost 3-0 to Belgium in League A. Those results had left the Turkish side bottom of Group A1 on 0 points. The defeat further threatens Turkey’s chances of avoiding relegation.

Kevin De Bruyne scored twice for Belgium, with Romelu Lukaku adding the third. De Bruyne struck again with another spectacular goal five minutes later. Lukaku, who came on in the 61st minute, also found the net within less than a quarter of an hour.

Arda Güler and his teammates had several chances to draw level. Belgium, however, held on to its advantage and finished the match with a 3-0 victory. It sits second in the group on 6 points, one behind France. For Turkey, the latest defeat extends a start without a point and makes the fight to stay in League A more difficult.
