Domenicali says F1 will end its season in Qatar and Abu Dhabi

“F1 will finish in Qatar and Abu Dhabi,” Stefano Domenicali said, addressing doubts over the season’s final two rounds. The executive told Sky: “We have confirmed the calendar: the final two Grands Prix are scheduled to take place in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.” He added that this direction is based on the information available and remains subject to essential guarantees.

Formula 1 is therefore maintaining its intention to close the 2026 campaign according to the schedule set out from the start. The calendar has Las Vegas on November 21, followed by Qatar on November 29 and Abu Dhabi on December 6. Domenicali also described this as the strategy F1 intends to follow through to the end of the year.

The decision leaves Imola outside the planned calendar, with the circuit kept in reserve. Meanwhile, communication with the two host nations is continuing and preparations at the circuits are proceeding normally, according to the reported details.

The season finale could also carry a major sporting consequence: Kimi Antonelli could become the youngest champion of all time. For now, Domenicali’s position is clear: F1 plans to finish in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
