GeneralTension and vandalism overshadow Rayo Vallecano’s return to Vallecas
Rayo Vallecano’s return to Vallecas was marred by graffiti, protests and a vandalised palco. A day anticipated as a celebration instead unfolded in a tense atmosphere.

Celades’ Cádiz made an emphatic start, winning 4-0 through a brace from Antoñito Cordero and goals by Vladys and Moueffek. The result was Cádiz’s first victory of the season, against Leganés, the last side they had beaten.
Cádiz took the initiative from the outset. A pass from Dilan Zárate set Cordero up with a chance, but the forward could not turn it into a goal. After weathering Leganés’ early pressure, Vladys extended the lead in the 53rd minute, reacting to a rebound after a corner to make it 2-0.
Moueffek, who came on for Doué, then helped create the move that allowed Cordero to complete his brace with a well-placed shot. Rubén Albés’ four substitutions did not halt the home side. In the 82nd minute, Borja Vázquez capped an individual run with a cross that Moueffek converted to make the final score 4-0.
The emphatic win gives the side a tangible response to its need for victory. It also offers a sharp contrast with the previous meeting between the same opponents: Leganés had been the last team to lose to Cádiz.
