The Rampant Roosters overpowered the Broncos to claim a third NRLW premiership. The Roosters scored six tries in the first half at Accor Stadium, giving Corban Baxter and Millie Elliott—described as club legends—a winning send-off.
Jesse Southwell eventually put the Broncos on the scoreboard after 63 minutes, but the contest had already been decided. The Roosters were soon celebrating a comprehensive victory.
Millie Elliott said the team had drawn motivation from what it had experienced, and that the feeling had driven them throughout the season, not just in the final. She also praised John Strangey and the coaching staff, saying they had left no stone unturned.
Captain Isabelle Kelly described the season as the start of something special and said she felt the team had produced its best performance. Addressing Corban and Millie, she praised their impact on the competition and the Roosters, adding that Millie’s experience as a mother had helped create a special bond within the group. She said Millie would always be a Rooster.
