Joselu is heading to Al-Sailiya in Qatar after leaving Al-Gharafa. Fabrizio Romano reports that the 36-year-old Spanish striker has agreed to join the club on a free transfer. The move would continue his career in Qatar, following two seasons with Al-Gharafa, and mark a new chapter for a player whose time at Real Madrid was a defining period in his career.
Joselu made 51 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 3 assists. He also won the Champions League, the Spanish league title and the Spanish Super Cup with the club. His most memorable moment came in the 2023-2024 season: he scored twice late in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich, sending Real Madrid through to the final.
A return to Qatar would be Joselu’s second spell in the country’s football. He would be joining a league he knows from his time at Al-Gharafa, while Al-Sailiya would be adding an attacker with experience and a knack for scoring. After playing in Spain, England and Germany, the former Real Madrid player is, according to the reported agreement, preparing to continue his career outside Europe.
