Sorloth and Lookman return to the group

Sorloth and Lookman rejoined the group for a training session. The Norwegian’s return comes after two months on the sidelines: a strain in his first week of work, followed by a recurrence and several setbacks in his recovery, had kept him out. He has yet to make his debut this season.

His return is expected to be gradual, as he did not finish the session with his teammates. He could still travel to Vitoria on Friday, provided the next sessions with the group go as expected.

Lookman’s presence was the other notable development in the session. His return was brought forward after Nigeria released him, although the national team still has a match against Russia to play. Grimaldo is also among those expected back with the group this week: he worked in the gym rather than on the pitch, but the discomfort that forced him to leave his national team’s camp is not expected to prevent him from rejoining the group.
