Mbappé has begun individual training as he works towards a return to Real Madrid. Back in Madrid, he reported to the club’s training ground and trained separately from his teammates, who were resting and had yet to resume group sessions. His return to the squad is being prepared for the coming period.
Before this return to training, Mbappé had left France’s match against Turkey in the Nations League group stage in the 59th minute. He had scored the only goal in the victory. Real Madrid then announced that he would be out for two weeks with a muscle strain.
The club does not want to rush his return to action and is prioritising a full recovery, particularly after his knee injury. According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid plans to manage his workload against Villarreal on matchday eight of the Spanish league and against Roma on matchday two of the Champions League. The reported target is a return against Sevilla on matchday nine of La Liga, ahead of the match against FC Barcelona on matchday ten.
Real Madrid is fourth in the Spanish league with 15 points and is preparing to face Villarreal next Saturday on matchday eight. The club is therefore managing Mbappé’s return during an important stretch, without wanting to hurry him back.
