Lamine Yamal closes in on Raphinha and Rodri’s wages at Barcelona

Lamine Yamal is expected to move closer to the salaries of Raphinha and Rodri at Barcelona. The club is preparing to activate an earlier agreement that provides for a significant increase in its young star’s pay, bringing him nearer the top of the Catalan team’s wage scale.

The increase, agreed since 2025, is not expected to take effect immediately; it should come into force in the coming months. Once applied, it will bring Yamal closer to Raphinha and Rodri, who are currently among Barcelona’s highest-paid players.

The agreement also includes an additional bonus if Yamal wins the 2026 Ballon d’Or. He is considered one of the leading candidates for the award, with the winner due to be announced at the ceremony scheduled for October 26.

The change forms part of Yamal’s contract with Barcelona, which runs until 2031. Signed at the end of May 2025, the new deal provides for more than 20 million euros net, including base salary, performance-related bonuses, a signing bonus and other bonuses.
