Lewis Hamilton has revealed the full restoration of his Ferrari F40 in a new video. He released the complete footage on YouTube after unveiling the car earlier this year, ahead of the Italian Grand Prix.
The F40 has a special place for Hamilton. “As a kid I dreamt of having one,” he wrote when the car was revealed. He also said he made sure to have one with him on his first day at Maranello after joining Ferrari last year.
The video also shows the car’s 2.9-litre twin-turbo V8 running as Hamilton watches the supercar before it is taken out for a first drive. It also features a montage from a photo shoot at a disused part of the Monza circuit. Its banked corner provides the setting for an image that has become famous for the Ferrari F1 team.
