Messi’s final minutes with Argentina set for the Monumental

The celebration will continue at the Monumental with an artistic show, followed by a match in which Messi will play his final minutes in the Argentina national team shirt. He will be alongside teammates who witnessed his victories, as well as others who will follow in his footsteps with the national team.

Alongside the plans for the celebration, Antonela shared a post from the Argentine Football Association in an Instagram story. The video brought together some of the most significant moments of Messi’s career, with an audio commentary describing the feelings he inspires in Leo. Roccuzzo reacted to the video with three crying-face emojis.

The narration recalls the child born in Rosario and says Messi’s influence goes beyond his 125 goals, free kicks and titles, including two Copa América trophies and the World Cup in Qatar. It focuses on the impact of his journey on those who have followed him: “Leo, do you know why you are the best in the world? Because, during these 22 years, you made us better.” The message ends with another line addressed to the player: “You taught us that there is still time to dream.”

The match at the Monumental is therefore set to mark Messi’s final minutes with the national team, as part of a celebration combining an artistic tribute with football.
