Jules Koundé has made up his mind about the possibility of leaving Barcelona in the upcoming winter transfer window. The French defender reportedly does not intend to consider offers and wants to continue his career with the Catalan club, according to reports in the Spanish press.
In recent days, press reports have linked Koundé with a possible January move to Manchester United and Liverpool. That interest is said to be related in particular to the fact that the Frenchman has not had the opportunity to play regularly for Barcelona during the current season. Those links with English clubs do not, however, mean that the player is considering a departure.
Barcelona are due to face Getafe in La Liga on Saturday evening, in the competition’s eighth round. The club lead the standings with 21 points ahead of that match. Talk of a possible Koundé departure therefore comes as Barcelona continue their season and prepare for another league fixture.
