Igamane is moving closer to a return to team training with Lille. Moroccan forward Hamza Igamane is gradually progressing through his rehabilitation after a serious knee injury, with the final phase before a return to competition still ahead.
He suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee last January, during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final against Senegal. He came on in the closing minutes and left the pitch during extra time.
Igamane has resumed ball work after starting to run again last June. He is currently training individually at the Domaine de Luchin centre under the supervision of Lille’s medical staff. In recent days, the club has shared footage of the forward working with the ball, as he moves closer to gradually rejoining group sessions. Lille has not set an official date for his return to matches.
His absence kept Igamane out of the latest appointments with the national team. Progress in his rehabilitation offers hope of a gradual return to his place as he regains his physical and competitive condition.
