Jamal Sellami is Al-Fateh’s new coach. The Saudi club has turned to the Moroccan manager after a difficult start to the season: the team has collected only 3 points from a possible 21 and sits fifteenth in the standings, with Al-Atwi previously in charge.

Al-Fateh announced on Thursday that it had ended its relationship with Al-Atwi by mutual agreement, citing poor results. The club then reached a final agreement with Sellami after securing the required approvals. Having arrived in Arabia, the coach quickly began his new job.

His first fixture is already set: Sellami is due to make his debut on the bench on Friday against Al-Ahli, in the eighth round of the Saudi football championship. The match will be an initial test as he seeks to get the team back on track. It will launch his spell at Al-Fateh, where he replaces Al-Atwi to lead the team in the coming period.
