Leganés could have Amadou Diawara available for Sunday’s LaLiga Hypermotion trip to Almería. Coach Rubén Albés said on Friday that the midfielder was likely to return; Diawara has yet to play this season because of injury.

“We will probably get Diawara back,” the coach said, while confirming that Rubén Peña remains unavailable. Enric Franquesa and Álvaro Tejero, meanwhile, trained normally during the week. Having recovered from their injuries, both were already included in the squad for the previous match, a 4-0 defeat against Cádiz.

Albés said the returning players would give him more options when selecting his side: “It is a joy to get players back, both Diawara and Tejero and Franquesa, who are important players. Having them available gives us more decisions to make about the line-up and allows us to adapt it better to the scenario we want for that match.”

The trip presents a test against a high-placed opponent, with Almería third in the standings. Diawara’s return, however, remains probable rather than confirmed.
