Swansea came from behind to beat Norwich 2-1 at home in the Championship and move to the top of the table. Jacob Wright put Norwich ahead in the first half. Swansea drew level after the break before Idah completed the comeback with a glancing header in the 59th minute.
Idah had several opportunities before half-time. In the 22nd minute, Joseph Opoku won the ball around halfway and carried it forward to set him up, but Idah’s heavy first touch allowed Vladan Kovacevic to make the save. Norwich then countered quickly. A cross from the left forced Stephen Welsh to head over his own crossbar and concede a corner.
Swansea levelled four minutes after the restart. Neat play down the left freed Josh Tymon, whose cross went beyond Idah at the near post and was turned in at the far post by Yeo. The account of the match noted that it was Yeo’s third goal in three games.
The decisive goal arrived in the 59th minute. Idah met Melker Widell’s accurate cross with a glancing header to finish Swansea’s recovery. Norwich threatened again late on, but Lawrence Vigouroux saved Sam Field’s effort before Jovon Makama headed over from close range.
The win takes Swansea to the top of the Championship after their victory over Norwich. A response after conceding, followed by goals from Yeo and Idah, turned a deficit into three points for the home side.
