Hassan Madani won gold and the world veterans’ wrestling title in Jordan, bringing another award to Egypt. His victory takes Egypt’s tally to four medals of different colours: Karam Gaber had already claimed gold, while Hossam Madi and Diab Salama earned bronze.
Saïd Salah, president of the Egyptian Wrestling Federation, praised Madani’s achievement. He said it showed that Egyptian wrestling could continue to succeed and raise Egypt’s profile at international sporting events. The federation president also highlighted the veterans’ experience and their ability to compete strongly against world champions from other countries. In his view, the delegation’s results add to Egyptian wrestling’s record of achievement.
Salah added that the Federation intends to keep supporting its champions and recognising their efforts, helping strengthen Egypt’s standing in international sport. The Egyptian delegation is also continuing its participation in the World Veterans Championships in Jordan, aiming to win more medals and maintain its positive results on the podium.
